Solymar is 8 weeks old today; Mommy was giving her a bath when she noticed how much she grew this week, as if she got bigger overnight. She nows smiles on a daily basis in response to our voices. She is also gaining more control of her hands and they end up in her mouth more often. Sol has settled into a "9pm bed time", luckily for Mommy, big sister Sofia is in bed by 9pm too, so Mommy knows every day she just have to hang in there until then. Bed time is a good time at home, neither one of the girls fight it and they go to sleep on their own. 
Usually Solymar will sleep until midnight, go back to sleep and wake up every 2 hours
until 6:30 am. Right around that time, Sofia wakes up and calls for Mommy. Instead of getting out of the bed Mommy brings Sofia to her bed and have some cuddle time with both girls for 30 minutes to an hour...sometimes Sofia will even fall asleep again. Mommy really loves cuddle time and can't think of a better time during the day ....
It is also the best bonding time the girls have during the day. This morning Sofia was giggling, when Mommy looked; the girls were playing footsie... Mommy's heart melted.

ReplyDeleteThank you Mommy for taking the extra time to write and share all these exhilarating moments that both sisters do together. I can imagine the beauty of doing and capturing it all in your mind. To treasure this would be awesome for both of them at a later time as they grow up. Thank you.
