Mon - May 4 - "The Baby is Growing"

Sofia's eye is better now.

Daddy was surprised the other night when he found Sofia wide awake, looking around the room. Her eyes were wide open as she explored his face. He stayed away from us for 2 days because of the swine flu we were being cautious since he works in NYC and wasn't feeling well. He couldn't believe how much his little one grew in the 2 days he didn't hold her.

Sofia  smiles at Mommy now almost on a daily basis. She has also shared smiles with Daddy in response to him talking and singing to her.

I always heard people say babies can smell their mommies and I guess that explains why when Sofia is crying requesting company; she quiets down as soon as mommy enters the room... Not to say that I'm stinky :)
