Sofia is 8 weeks, she weighs 6 pounds 6 ounces and she is 19 inches long. She got her first set of shots today, I have never seen her cry so hard, not even during the eyes exam. Her face turned so red, poor baby. So far she hasn't been fuzzy, will see if that last.
Gone are the days when Mommy and Daddy had to push Sofia to finish a 2 oz bottle; it used to take her up to 30 mins to finish it. Now we have to stop to burp her as she gulps down 4 oz in 10 mins. She eats 4 ounces every 2-4 hrs. At first I thought maybe I was pushing it giving her 4 ounces; but then after a 4 oz meal Sofia woke up 2 hrs later and had 4 oz more with no major spit ups... I then realized my tiny princess has become an eating machine.
Wow, she's gaining weight really quickly! That's great! Her cheeks are looking very squeezable these days :-) As for the vaccinations, often babies will calm right down if you nurse them immediately after they get their shots.
